AOI is on the forefront of WSU’s efforts to use innovative technologies and cutting-edge academic techniques to reach a wider and more diverse student population. AOI’s mission areas include WSU’s fully online Global Campus, the Learning Innovations faculty development program, year-round academics including Summer and Winter Session through Learn365, and Professional Education non-credit programs, conferences, and events.

On and Off Campus

On-Campus Presence

As part of AOI’s mission in support of faculty and classroom technology, we maintain a presence on WSU’s Pullman Campus, including at “The Spark” Academic Innovation Hub, Van Doren Hall, and various other campus locations. On-campus AOI activities include faculty academic technology training, classroom technology maintenance, virtual audio-visual event support, and much more. 

Telework Requirements

Some AOI positions are fully or partly telework positions (if a full or part-time on-campus presence is required, it will be noted in the position description or during the interview process). Telework positions will require signing a telework agreement. Minimum technical requirements include an internet bandwidth of 4.0 Mbps for upload and download. WSU will provide other technical equipment determined necessary for telework positions.
